[T1 Question] : Demo the DemoCam?

would it be possible to make a demo of what the demo cam sees? cause when u are taking screenshots to make an avi, its almost impossible to move with the shot/disc or whatever may be happening. so the only democam avi view u could get is a stationary one. So is it possible to do the movement whilst ur not taking screenshots, get that on demo, THEN get the screenshots from that demo? :O

I'm guessing he wants to change the point of view for the camera during a sequence in the demo. So instead of playing it back, grabbing shots from the point of view of the player, he wants to move a democam to a spot, play the demo back from that point of view, and take the screenshots. I could be wrong.

Lou has it right i think .... its so hard to explain what im trying to say cause i have to use the word "demo" so many times. so, no matter how i phrase it, its going to be just as confusing >:|

sounds to me like he wants to be able to move along with the shot as if the view is from the actually disc, snipe, blaster, mortar etc etc

What Kama is trying to say, is that it's impossible to use DemoCam while dumping the screenshots with film.cs ie. whilst dumping the screenshots.

The demo the DemoCam part i don't think is possible, since you'd be watching a demo, and I don't think you can record whilst watching a demo...

i bound my mouse1 to screenshot(mainwindow); when we were working the right binds out for democam

it sucked dick, b/c after you quit the demo it'd stay bound, and you'd have to type quit(); in console, then re-bind mouse1

I never found a way to accurately record mouse movement (which would be the only way to demo with democam). I got really close since you can record keystrokes, but I couldn't record which direction you moved the mouse, only the fact that the mouse had moved :-/

I had no problem demoing shots with the demo cam, you just have to put it at it's slowest setting, and move very, very slowly.
