i go to arizona state university. my problem is that i cannot play tribes because whenever i try to play it 996s on me. i can play legends without lag and i can download files off of kazaa and similar programs super fast and basic browsers run quick as hell. it is only tribes that will not work. sometimes it will run normally for ten or fifteen seconds, but then the lag kicks in. other games dont seem to have this problem. i know for a fact that quake three and planetside work and like i said legends works fine too. only tribes gets gay lag. i have tried changing the port which tribes uses to connect, but it has had no effect whatsoever. can someone give me any helpful suggestions based on similar experiences or based on experience with networks in general.
