Spybot Search and Destroy problem :-\ [Archive]

Hi, I have had much success using spybot search and destroy in the past. It has however always taken about 10-20 seconds to load when I first click on it. Recently, it's stopped loading, it'll start up, but nothing appears on screen except for the task bar button, when I click on it nothing happens except for a slight graphic that looks like it's trying to maximize/minimize the window. When I right click on the task bar button it says I can either minimize or close the program. So I tried clicking minimize thinking it would then give me an option to maximize, it did not though. It still said minimize or close. So I tried using task manager to switch to it, no dice. When I click on close to close it it times out and gives me the end task/cancel option, when I end task it does the blah blah blah tell bill gates wtf happened or don't send options.

The only things I've changed recently were adding sygate personal firewall (to minimize some risks of being haxed by brazilians, yes, I did a back trace and some fool in Brazil keeps port scanning my ip approximately every 12 hours) and added seti@home. I'm not positive but I think I have successfully ran Spybot at least once since I installed seti. I did try disabling both of them and then running spybot, same results, I totally deleted and uninstalled spybot and reinstalled, same results. So yeah, any ideas would be appreciated. (PS. I also run ad-aware and it's not picked up anything but the occasional tracking cookie)

edit: also, I've checked the spybot faq's and website with no success in finding this as a known issue :hrm:

lemme know if there's any other info needed, uh, winxp, fully patched and updated, current drivers, none have changed recently that I'm aware of.
