also noticed that when I hit File or Edit or any of those it flashes over and over as if a key was stuck.. but all my keys are working fine. And its only if i click them with my mouse. Hitting Alt+F works fine.

Check for a file called msconfig32.exe, if you have that you got an earlier variant of the blaster worm.

"I had it.

I'm a XP user, had troubles opening Registry, or my Task Manager.
MSCONFIG32.exe is a made up program for the "spybot" virus. XP already has a msconfig program.
Norton Antivirus found it first and couldn't delete it. I then installed the 30day trial version of McAfee and it got rid of it! Make sure you update to get the most recent info once McAfee is installed.

The symantec name was already given.
W32/Spybot.worm.gen for McAfee

Both the blaster virus and the welchia virus download trogans on your PC, I have found three so far on my machine and I think there are one or two more. A hacker uses the trogan to manipulate the infected PC in any way they see fit. Me and one of my 1337 hax0r buddies used to use trogans to manipulate peoples webcams, turn off letters on their keyboard, open disk drives, print stuff, etc. My virus scanner is updated and won't pick up the trogans. I am considering reformatting.....
