I installed Norton Internet Security & Norton AntiVirus on my Windos 98 machine the other day. Everything was going fine for awhile then it stopped letting me view webpages and connect to AIM. So I tried to uninstall and it said im not a supervisor; yet im the only account on the machine. I dont know if I should just delete the folder or try somthing else. Help. :\

You wouldn't be able to delete the install folder, methinks.

I don't see how you couldn't just uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs.

I used a tool Symantec had to get rid of Internet Security but now AntiVirus is messed up. NAV isnt even in the Add/Remove programs list. There is a tool on symantec to uninstall that but link doesnt work. Ill try to dl on a diff machine though.

it's sad but true. norton programs don't like being uninstalled.

boot into safe mode and delete the directories manually.

use a utility (google for it) to manually remove the add/remove programs entry left over.

any other errors you get, you should be able to remove them via regedit. it's win98 so you don't have to worry about it being a 'service' like xp/2k

Found uninstall tools on Symantec site. Thanks though. :) <3
