870 MB CD-R a lie?

I purchased 25 875 MB CD-R cd's off of ebay because I needed to burn some large files (769 MB to be frank). When I put a blank into my burner, I use the default Windows XP drag and drop wizard. It then tells me that I can't burn it because the disc only holds 702 MB and my file is much too big. I also tryed using a program called FireBurner and it was being shitty as well. Is this a burning software problem or was I lyed to about the discs?

First off the built in burning software sucks so much ass it won't do anything other than a MS standard ISO format and 650mb cd's. Period.
Get a real burning package and it'll work fine

I use roxio 5 and 6 with the exact same cd's and it works just fine for me.

And you will probably ahve to enable over burning in your Nero settings to allow you to write the full 870mb. I got a much of 900mb cd-r's a year or 2 ago, but my computer woudlnt' even recognize them, although some other people's computers did.
