Ok, i just posted a second ago, but heres another: I have 512 ram... i have a toshiba satellite 2435 p4 2.4, and it has an nvidia gforce 4 420go gfx card. my ram is expandable to 1024... should i buy the extra 512? Would I notice a difference in my gaming?

I just got a gig myself. I noticed a decrease in loading times in desert combat and battlefield. I really haven't pushed it yet.

It seems that 256 does not cut it anymore and 512 is the minimum you should have. If not 1024, go at least 768. I'm not how much improvment pc2700 gives over 2100, but it's always something to look into.

With the decreased loading time I went from being like 20th into the server to 3rd on map changes. End up being the first to the planes to bomb the hell out of people before the noobs that can't fly can spawn and get them. Battlefield is a memory hog. You will be able to run fine with 512. The only thing the any more than 512 has affected on mine is load times.
