Most balanced T2 mod?

Just wondering what everyone's opinion was as to what the most balanced T2 mod is....

Classic 1.3

1.4 beta hopefully never gets added. The cloaking change alone is not good for T2 imo.

suck it up, the cloakign change in 1.4 isnt bad. It will only hurt the people with modified sounds. If you havent modified you cloak sound then you can't hear it anyway. So stfu.

WTF you def? I can hear the default sound and often place my back against a wall to stop them from SL my Heavy. Stop acting like such a member, oops too late :rolleyes:

Lance - gone
Satchel - gone
Cloak pack - gone
Flash nades - gone

Missile launcher - gone
Lance - gone
Satchel - gone
Cloak pack - gone
Flash nades - gone
and many other "improvements" ;)

I don't think anybody even knows what they mean by "balanced." Too often it is interpreted to mean fun.

Actually, I have noticed that with 1.3, it is a little flaky on certain sound cards - I hear cloakers just fine on my desktop system (on-board sound) but can't hear cloakers at all on my laptop (Soundblaster). None of the sound settings are different on the 2 machines.

That sounds a lot like ZOD's "Veteran" mod. Heh he made it before classic came out and its original name was classic. I always though it was a well made mod. I have never seen a server playing it though.

about your 'mod' with the missle launcher gone, the vehicles are going to totally own again. Which would mean you would have to nerf them again. Why not just make the missle launcher only lock on to vehicles and not players.

I don't see how you can possibly hear it over the rest of the game noises. If you have modified sounds then yes that makes sense.

Hell, I have frequency deafness in both ears and I can hear the default cloaking sounds if I'm alert enough.

And then there's that sixth sense I've sort of developed that's effective about half the time. I've surprised many a cloaker and jammer by heeding my 'spider sense' and hunting them down.

You notice my list says other "improvements"

I have some ideas on how to deal with vehicles, but nothing certain (I've got 6 months to decide what I want to do).

Hey the lance is cool except it does 100% too much damage. Get rid of the damage and I think it would be a balanced weapon.
