Terra 07-12-2003, 01:29 AM i use autowaypoint by mrpoop currently, but i think i want something more "advanced" if possible. any suggestions? SuperSlug 07-12-2003, 02:35 AM Is this for flag carriers or for targeting flag stand? |KiLLeR2001| 07-12-2003, 03:59 PM mistar pewps waypoint rox Terra 07-13-2003, 10:03 AM i downloaded that waypoint system where if you set it to "offense" it targets enemy flag homestand, and then to your ally grabber if someone grabs except it kept waypointing to out of bounds somewhere.. it was retarded Timalis_ 07-13-2003, 12:15 PM Enemy waypointing only works if the enemy is withen sensor range, if it targetted when the enemy was outside of sensor range, then that would be equivilent of a happy flag, as you shouldn't know where an enemy is when you, your team sensor's, or any one on your team can't see them. GreeD 07-13-2003, 12:33 PM i downloaded that waypoint system where if you set it to "offense" it targets enemy flag homestand, and then to your ally grabber if someone grabs except it kept waypointing to out of bounds somewhere.. it was retarded You referring to PowPoint? I use it ported for stripped and I never have any trouble with it, I think by far the smartest WP script for stripped. http://www.tribalwar.com/rdb/index.php?fileid=159 Terra 07-13-2003, 08:32 PM yeah, this for some reason waypoints to outside the boundaries i dont even know where SuperSlug 07-13-2003, 09:39 PM Even when enemies are in sensor range? Terra 07-13-2003, 09:41 PM well i was talking about when no one has the flag. i'd set it to offense, and it'd point somewhere towards the enemybase, but way oob. but when someone grabs, it targets them so that works at least... any ideas? At0m|c 07-13-2003, 09:59 PM Ya my waypointer messes up if it doesn't have coordinates set for the map you're playing... otherwise it's fine. :) If a map comes up that's not in the list I just go add it. Timalis_ 07-14-2003, 12:47 AM Ding.. that'll do it.. the cords may not be inputted for the map yas on.. either that or the script isn't looking correctly at the flag events, so it's not seeing that no one has the flag and tries to waypoint someone rather than the flag stand.. but I'd go with the not having cords before pushing that theory. Terra 07-14-2003, 03:10 AM how do i input the cordinates then? :D Timalis_ 07-14-2003, 11:08 AM Get with me in IRC, I'd need to look at the waypoint script in order to tell yas how, as I don't use it, nor can seem to find it. The waypoint script by MrPoop in the RDB doesn't target flag stands. GreeD 07-14-2003, 12:29 PM Yea PowPoint runs off zodds waypoints. You know it would be nice to have the script target friendly and if droped instead of WP back to the flag stand it wps last place droped on the map. Oh god, I remember suggesting this.. and being told by a bunch of burly men to forget it or they would rape me :/ Mafo 07-14-2003, 02:40 PM I think I use AO's but I think he made it custom for himself, passed it onto FS, then it got passed on to me so I don't think it was ever 'released' Timalis_ 07-14-2003, 04:04 PM Yea PowPoint runs off zodds waypoints. You know it would be nice to have the script target friendly and if droped instead of WP back to the flag stand it wps last place droped on the map. It wouldn't be easy, because you would have to on the fly find the cords of the dead body then re-waypoint those cords.. it actually sticks a bit if the person doesn't respawn.. your waypoint stays on the dead body till they spawn... that is if the script doesn't point back to the flag stand. At0m|c 07-14-2003, 04:50 PM You could probably do it by having the carrier say the coordinates where they died and then having everyone else parse the chat to find it... but that's kinda annoying and the coordinates finding doesn't always work (i'm not sure if it even works online either). Forget it, it's not possible... at least not in T1 Terra 07-15-2003, 06:01 AM hehe | ||
