ok so i recently put on winxp pro, new nforce2 drivers, and d/l'd the latest catalyst video card drivers, now when i start T1 the screen kinda shimmers like jet wash.

has anyone every heard of this before, i dont know whats causing it but its really annoying, it doesnt seem to happen when im playing maps, (or i cant notice it as much) but it is really wierd.

T1 is the only game it happens in and i dont know how to fix it. help would be appreciated.

Try setting Antistropic filtering and Anti Aliasing to application prefrence in the Advanced Display Properties. Not sure if that will fix it or not but it's worth a try.

Same thing happens with my geForce card sometimes.. but only in 98 oddly.. dunno about the Ati boards. Also just try playing with those two settings and see if it makes a differance. Are you running any older games? That may be why it's doing it. Assuming you run in OpenGl mode and not software mode..

You might outta reinstall your drivers then, cuz it should be there...

whoa tricc, whoa
should've consulted some1 before getting those :

p.s restarting computers is the end of tech forums expertise
you could PM somebody like Kurayami in irc, although ved if he'd respond
if you could be a bit more descriptive of what happens i could try help more ben
when did it start happening, what usually occurs when it happens, why do you think it started happening, and how do you usually replicate it happening

Did you fix this yet? By the way AA and Antistropic filtering are listed in the OpenGL tab of your advanced display properties. If you don't see that tab I'm guessing you didn't install the Control Panel that ATI offers (in a seperate installer) with each of their drivers.
