what pal is best to apply and what should I do exactly in makeskin+?

the ones I just tried to do came out all rainbow and I did what id normally do with any t1 skin. I skinned a bunch of t2 for t1 models awhile ago but I forget what I did, Im pretty sure i was using diff palettes or something I cant remember.

convert them to a pallette in psp or photoshop(i now use psp for tribes cause you can read the .pal files and get the colours exactly and its easier for editing)

then compile it with that pal and then it should work

Last I recall, PS didn't like T1 pal files.

Granted, that was ages ago

It does, it's just not as simple to apply as in psp.

Oh and trick, you might need the alpha layers fix for ps7, I did.

When I make a skin, I usually edit it in Photoshop, save it as 24-bit color, then convert to the correct pal in psp7.

Hope his site is not down for good :|

Here is the file though :

Photoshop alpha layer fix (http://hosted.tribalwar.com/conversion/bLiSS/AlphaLayerPSfix.zip)

It's the one from Toejam's site, I use it too. You'll have to extract it to your Photoshop\Plug-Ins\Adobe Photoshop Only\File Formats directory, or wherever your .8bi file is. It might be a good idea to back-up your old .8bi file, you never know :P
