would let you know if a sniper was aiming at you, if were skiing away with the flag. Would see the beem, then start swerving everywhere :)

don't matter the width... i have different lods for the laser... each is somewhat thicker.. but to thick that you could see it across the map.... btw this is UR (ultraraptor) god i need an account

very nifty. On a dark map like CoN, with 3 or 4 snipers standing around, it looks awesome :) Can it be altered so its right on the reticle? It's not exactly straight right now, you can tell especially when you zoom in. And you notice that its not on when you see another sniper look out somewhere, and then snipe, and the snipe doesnt align with the laser. This fixable?

its because of the way the weapon is facing as opposed to the players view.

it mightlook akward if i match it with the reticle

erm wouldnt it show where snipers are from miles away? (big red permanent beam and all)

shin for me the beam only seems to be about 100, max 200m long
and also it is really really thin when viewed from far away, so its not very easy to see on light maps, darker maps its a diff story

this was right after i was messing around with the UT models(yea it looks kinda stupid, but hey, why not?)

as you can see it dosent even go all the way to the reticle and if you see it on someone else it only goes about 3/4 the distance of a scout from them

speaking of scouts... if phantom ever gets on(or reads this) i still need help on

Still...it must make snipers quite a bit more visible, no matter the distance.

kos, i think the reason that it doesnt appear to go all the way to the reticle is because of the angle that youre seeing it from, and its going out of the visible distance before you see it hit the reticle :/ could be wrong tho

like i said... it goes about 5 ft in front of the player so no thats not it

if you want to get it to go to the reticle, the best way would probably be to rotate it so it gets there sooner

fixed my angle so its more centered on reticle...

kos that don't look translucent to me... could this be why?

it was a while ago so no its not transluscent and i dont see how that would change the export process
(the scout isnt supposed to be either, it was just a test to see if it would work and it didnt =\ )

hey kos that model down below kinda looks like a nerf gun in a way hehe... i wish i had those still those would be awesome to model:)

i got a pellet gun that looks like a realistic 45 cal... i think it be nice to model and animate:)

for the scout...well... for one its vertical, thats a little bit of a problem, another being that it crashes tribes because of something =\
im kinda dissapointed that it dosent work cause i got it all the way down to 800 polys(from ~100k) and its not working

and theres nothing really "wrong" with the shock rifle with the laser, i was just showing mine :p

what's stopping people from attaching a laser to the armors? pretty much like an everywhere iff. but without the iff's
