lets make this a photoshop thread!

one day I will make a photoshop thread for everything in my http://www.zigly.com/preeko/twpics/ dir, but right now alot of the pics are way too big. (and some of them are stuff I uploaded for other threads and aren't very interesting)

actualy if we could get those on a non shitty host alot of them would probably make great photoshop material, but there is so much photoshopping going on right now... what with the war, and sports, and kowboy, poor yaason can only do so much.

photographers tip of the day by Fidelio:

the six qualities of light are brightness, color, contrast, direction, specular, and diffuse.

the first three are the 'comparitive' qualities of light while the latter three are the 'formative' qualities of light.

the comparitive qualities can all be manipulated after the image is taken.

the formative qualities are determined only at the time of exposure and can't be manipulated afterward.

if you want multiple elements in a collage image (which is what most of our TW photoshops are) to work together and look as a cohesive image then you must make sure the formative qualities of light match or match closely when compositing the image, otherwise the parts just won't 'fit'.

for example the domo works perfectly into the scene because the formative qualities of both images are similar whereas the womans face looks odd because the formative qualities of the source image don't match the background image. the mans face is somewhere in between.

end said tip of the day.

good tip, but both faces are women, the wrinkled one is one of the war images from a recent photoshop thread.
