Snakes 03-17-2003, 12:54 PM I seem to be having a wierd problem but i think others have experienced it in the past. All of a sudden (i havent found what triggers it), i cant drop my blaster anymore, or any weapon for that matter. Around the same time (or at the same time that happens), any calls to getItemCount are farked and it messes up all my huds...
Any ideas or has this been solved before? Whats causing it?
thanks =]
Pengo 03-17-2003, 01:07 PM Why would you want to drop your blaster?
craziness.
oOCyraXOo 03-17-2003, 01:25 PM check config.cs maybe you accidently bound something over it
Snakes 03-17-2003, 01:25 PM you're kidding me, right?
NOVA|lam 03-17-2003, 01:40 PM That happened to me using Stripped, couldn't even drop flag a few minutes into a map. But then would go away if I used an inventory.
Happened again with z0dd config, but then I found I was running two blaster drop scripts (duh). I no longer have the problem.
Nikita 03-17-2003, 02:00 PM No Snakeguy... blaster is good. Plus you can sell it to a RIS. :)
[meph]DooM! 03-17-2003, 02:09 PM If you used Alt+S in a 27/28+ player game, that likes to overflow Tribes internal buffers because I'm pushing too much info out to the CenterPrint :/
It kills all scripts and puts a pile of random crap into HUDs.
R@ND0M 03-17-2003, 02:16 PM Which server is it on?
Homelan servers have this gay anti-spam script, and AO's old zAdmin had a bug, where if too many people were dropping shit at once (i.e blasters on SH), it wouldn't allow anybody to drop anything.
Try and get the latest version of zAdmin if it's happening on Haji's or something..
Buk Naked 03-17-2003, 02:24 PM I run Viking 4.0 I have just the opposite problem. I hit "x" and it throws the blaster, but then I can't pick anything up - it just keeps throwing everything away. Maybe if we were on the same server at the same time we would cancel each other and everything would work perfectly...
·liquid· 03-17-2003, 02:25 PM This shit used to annoy the fuck out of me.. dunno if it has been fixed tho
random sez yes but :shrug:

oOCyraXOo 03-17-2003, 03:48 PM why would anyone use a blasterdrop script. just drop this in your config.cs
bindCommand(keyboard0, make, "n", TO, "drop(\"Blaster\");");

You mean you can't pick up new weapons, right?
This is a feature in Viking pack.
Default keybinding is "shift c" to turn it off and on.
If you want to change it open Preferences.cs and search for "Scavenger".
Another way is to use your default loadoutkeys before picking the weapon up. Let say you have the default loadout and finds a sniperrifle. Press 0 (zero) before picking it up.

Thanks. I don't use the blaster drop that much so I wasn't too worried about it. It is kinda weird to me though. The reason I drop my blaster is to pick other stuff up, and by default it won't let me. Yes I understand it's probably to keep u from picking up your blaster again. I probably won't remember the "shift c" deal, but hitting the loadout makes sense - I can make that work. Thanks again.
Foodey 03-18-2003, 10:34 AM blaster owns, dont drop :cry:
