I did not OC either of these and they have always been very stable. Bought them both in late August 2002. CPU has run at about 42c average. I'm selling because I'm planning on upgrading with some extra xmas money. :) I will sell these items together or separate, although the two sticks of ram have to go together (I'm not just selling you one stick). If it means anything to you I get a 12,100 3dmark with this rig (see my sig for the rest of it).

Not everybody is looking to do a huge overclock though. :) It's not a bad CPU, but you're not going to get a 400mhz OC on air cooling.

Well, actually my system will go from 1.47GHz to 2Ghz quite easily on air cooling. But I just don't like to run the chip at anything above 45C :p So I keep it at a modest 1.73GHz only.

But yes the Palomino is very nice, and that is a very reasonable price you seek. Good luck :)

But anyway I have a guy who might buy it for $70, so we'll see. I don't know if I want to go as low as $60, I paid $180 for it, and it's still $95 new...

no, I don't think you are trying to screw me, but who knows if it gets damaged when you take it out or whatever...just being sure ;)

Ya somebody else showed me the 80 on pricewatch. The lowest price is always some sketchy site though. :) I'm not going any lower than $70. I think it's still a good deal, especially since newegg has it at 94. If the ram + CPU went together I might go a little lower. I just don't want to upgrade one and not the other. :)


And the no-DOA thing is no prob. I wouldn't ship it if it died while taking it out, and I'll insure shipping.

If you still have the proc on Monday night, I'll probably buy it off you. Need to see how much my check is for. I'm running an 1800+ right now, wouldn't mind upgrading to 2100+.

Pess the guy who was really interested in buying it just told me he lives in holland, and I didn't really feel like shipping it there so he said he'd just find another one. If you want it find me in irc or on aim (powdah0und) or something. :)
