Problems with Flash 5 and transparency

Hey, I'm working on a site now and I have a color distortion problem. Basically, my transparent gif is not quite so transparent, check out the img for an explanation.

note: I'm using Windows 98, my friend with XP can not see a difference, but he can when viewing this pic.


Any advice?


Edit: I made the transparent gif in photoshop 6 then imported it into flash 5.

Hrm... Doesn't look so transparent to me either.

I don't know enough about PS/Flash to help.

Have you posted this in General Tribes?

import the image
modify -> trace bitmap
select and delete the background of the image?

modify -> trace bitmap fixed the problem

Edit: To clarify, the reason I could see the difference and my friend could not is because I was running in 16bit color while he had 32. I checked it out on my machine and that is definitely what was wrong.
