T1 redjacks briefly, often?

I recently upgraded my PC, and formatted and installed XP Pro.

Since then I get a redjack in T1 every 10-15 seconds that lasts for a second then clears. This causes the game to hitch and makes it unplayable.

I havnt had this problem with any other online game I've played since upgrading, and I disable all background tasks.

I get the exact same thing on every server I play, in game pings from mid 30's up to 90's. I see no PL in game and the ping doesnt vary any more than normal (about 5-10ms variance).

Offline training the game does not do this, so it must be a network issue, but I trace route to the servers and poll each hop, and get great pings to them all and no packet loss.

I think maybe its my in game network settings (packet size and so on) since I can't remember what I had them set to before. I've tried the modem and T1 pre-sets and no change.

I have also recently added a LinkSys router, but like I said I don't get this problem with any other online game, so I think it must be software related.

Any thoughts? Also, people on cable please post your in game network settings, I do remember that I used a custom setting before that someone recommended, but its been about 2 years and can't remember what it was.

Thx

this happened to a lot of us using Rogers @homo service a while back...a tried fucking with all my net settings, everything, and nothing worked.

then all of a sudden it went away.

of course, this helps you in no real way, other than providing an amusing tale of a similar occurance.

Did you back up your old connfig or somthing? Have you tried reinstalling and using a clean config and starting over?

Try switching your network to Cable or T1 in options.
