[T1] Help replaced sound

I replaced the flyer_fly.wav in my base dir.. with another wav.. and simple doesnt work any idea why?

in the 5150 sound pack came some replacement scouts and repair sound and shit.. well I tried to replace the flyer sound with another wav sound and it dont work :( I dont know why!

are you sure you didnt try and replace it with an mp3

Ya I converted all the voices and weapons. Anyway, they use two differnt channeling, I think its called. Tribes is very specific for what it can play in terms of sounds. Ya. :)

can ya give me a bit more info how to change the channeling?

make sure you actually replace the 5150 flyer_fly wav

I did that..

i was under the impression that the 5150 sounds came in a vol that was in the voices dir and not in the base dir

did u rename it to flyer_fly?

arent you supposed to rename it to wflyer_fly.wav

okay.. let me explain.. in 5150 sound pack you have a choice to put these new sounds.. I put them in my base folder.. and those originals worked.. I put in a new wav file that overwritten the other.. so the name is correct but like wats his name said, somthing about chanels.. which I know nothing about..
