this is a testing.. i could probably make it into ice for snow maps, make it lava for lava maps, and water... will need bit testing though cause this one is just one image stretched out on a single object...

i cant see water when im in water, water has no visable properties except refraction and reflection. what you want is the reflection of the blue sky in water.

so yeah...... seeing blue water everywhere would be cool, only if it was reflected.

its like a force field... once you go through it its regular.... what will happen is someone will make a trigger underneath the object that will flare a blue flare or screen.... same thing as looking at the sun for sunglare..only blue

ya, at least someone finally figured it out

i guess av0n/doom and i will try take a look at how to trigger the red hue when you get hit

or someone from dynamix :X can come out and slip us the source and the pre-release beta of Tribes(by the way it has water in it) and it will simplify the problem.

but i won't happen.

Oh not only water, but you can make it into some nice fog that sets into ravines and lowlands, it would give new maps a certain atmosphere that i think would be nice to have not just over all haze everywhere.

theres only 8 vertices on that one.. so it affects you none... i may or maynot need to put more in to make it water like texture... again its only one texture or map on this one... then again we really don't need to go to far with it anyways texture wise..

been there, done that

there's some code in tribes.exe for water/lava and wind, but it's incomplete, same with a bunch of other things
