Ok I needed to reformat and put my drives back together. They are currently partioned into two 50GB harddrives.

Anyhow, I go into fdisk to deleted all main and extended partions and to make the drive whole again.

It will not let me deleted the EXT DOS partition no matter WHAT choice I make in fdisk. WTF is going on?!

I ended up using the utilities that came with it on hard disc, did the trick.

How come when I use my 100GB as 1 entity the maximum GB it says is free is 93.3GB

Uh last time I checked no OS took 7 gigs to install :)

yea thats the way they always work they need that space for something.. I don't know the technical explanation though, sorry. With a clean format of my HD it will only show that 57 out of 60 GBs are free.

1 manufacturer kilobyte - 1000 bytes
1 actual kilobyte - 1024 bytes

1 mfter gigabyte - 10^3 = 1,000,000,000
1 actual gigabyte - 1024^3 = 1,073,741,824 bytes

100 mfter gigabytes - 10^3 * 100 = 100,000,000,000 bytes
100 actual gigabytes - 1024^3 * 100 = 107,374,182,400 bytes
