Hard drive compression in Win2k

Just recently I was going through some of the files on my secondary drive(which is compressed) and noticed that with some files like installed games it really can save a lot of space. This got me to thinking that maybe I should also compress my main c drive. Mostly because it has the largest amount of games and programs which seem benefit from this compression.

The only thing I'm considering before I do this would be downsides to compressing your main drive. Slowing down my computer being my major concern... If this has little affect on my overall performance I think I may go ahead with this to save some space.

That's never good. I guess I will hold off on compressing my hard drive then.
