I'm working on a system that keeps rebooting itself as soon as it gets into Windows. It does it in safe mode too. It's a Windows 2000 machine with an Athlon 950.
Thanks for any help

Yogi Bear 01-09-2003, 12:33 PM Not overheating, it's got a good fan. Xaphan 01-09-2003, 02:29 PM Its probably erroring and rebooting becuase that's the setting (System Properties-->STartup and Recovery-->uncheck Automatically Reboot). Does it reboot right away? if it does and you have no chance to do anything, then you can't stop it from rebooting that i know of (it would blue screen instead). You can try removing your modem/network card or sound card and see if that does it because its probably a driver issue Yogi Bear 01-09-2003, 06:15 PM Yeah, I tried removing everything I could, no good. That's ok, I'm just formatting and restoring. He'll be better off that way in the long run anyway. His software is a mess. | ||
