Hi guys,
I was wondering if any of you knew of any software (or a winamp plugin preferably) that encodes 2 channel input into dolby digital 5.1 and outputs it through the digital din?

I have a 5.1 decoder/speakers (Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500) and wanna know if this can be done. Windows has the option of choosing 5.1 speakers in the control panel audio settings, but I dunno how much this helps.

Lemme know if you know of such a 5.1 decoder/converter/emulator.

Thanks!

I doubt it could do any more than checking that box does. There's no way to know what is supposed to go out what channel.

no. why do you want to do this anyway? you should be able to mess around with your creative audio mixer settings to get what you want done i think.

Well right now what I'm doing is i've set the multi-channel input to digital din (which is correct), and the prologic config to "Fourpoint/5.1 din"... and i hear sound on all 5 speakers/woofer...

It's all good. I guess pro logic is the one that simulates stereo into multichannel... not dolby digital 5.1
