[T2] Skin problem

after doing a clean install of tribes 2, i have some intersting problems both regarding skins and the weapons. First of all, even though the v12 is in the base folder, the skins do not work. The second problem is a bit stranger though :P. After i zoom in, when it returns to normal view, the weapon becomes invisible until i change weapons again. Any ideas?

you have to use 16 or 32 bits mode, not palletized.
