[Tribes 2] Locating Mortar Trail Files

Can someone tell me which files I modify in the skins.vl2 to recolor/change the mortar trail? also I want to do the lasers beam if anyone can tell me those files also it would be appreciated.

mortar trails change alot of things... like i have this heart mortar trail and it makes everything hearty.. including missile explosions and all sorts of stuff..

and its only one file

EDIT: how come the default file is black and white? (bigsmoke.png)

Because it's a particle. Any B&W texture is for particles and you should leave them alone. Changing their color will affect other effects in the game.
