currently the only problem i have with VP 4.0 is that i can not see the v chat menus. hit v-v-v and i still get "cover me", but i cant see the process on screen.
and no i do not have all the commands committed to memory.
all i need is a simple answer on how to make it visible.
If you were gonna reply "do it in tree();" dont bother unless you are gonna be more specific. where in tree();??

Hey Whiplash, glad you like it. Yes, there are some unique things about VP, TeamTrack.cs has some really nifty features.
The invisible chatmenu is related to the chathud being transparent, you will have to change it back to the normal look to get the menu back, and here's how:
open console.
tree();
find "playGui" in the tree-list and expand it.
find "chatDisplayhud" in the playGui tree.
file/edit
un-check the "commander version" check-box.
press "Apply"
close the tree application.
Now you can use "k" to move it where you want, and the menu is visible again.

hmm.. ok sounds good. i was just in there to move the chathud to the top center of my screen.
if i read that correctly it seems that a trans chathud is not an option if i wanna see the v-chat menu. not a problem, was just wondering about it.

I've a prob.
when i'm in tree list... there isnt a"playGui" folder and i'm unable to edit "chatdisplayhud".
Why?
Here is the list
1st and unique folder: "SimManager"
when i expand it here are others expandable..others are non-expanbable stuffs:
SimImputConumerSet
SimCamvasSet
SimRenderSet
SimSet
NamedGuiSet
SimSet
(folder) SimImputManager
SimSet
(folder)MainMenuGui
SimToolset.
Browsing into those things i havent found neighter playgui nor chatdisplayhud.

eDIT ....ok i get it.
I did tree(), before hosting a game so that "SimManager" was on 0 and not on 8xxx when i join a game......
The second prob was how to move the mause into that box :)....and solved that by pressing the escape button so my mause was free with pointer and not to look araund tribes :).
