[T2 Request] Mouse 4+5

is there a script to get the mouse 4 and 5 buttons to work in t2... i been trying to bind it as mouse0, "button4" and "button5", but they don't work. my button 1-3 work, anyone know why not? .. i had changed my button 5 to paste so its set at ctrl v but button4 is coming out as alt numpad4 which is also <- on the keyboard and since i got <- bound to a voidsay command, whenever i am in tourney mode instead of dropping my blaster it says the voidsay command, but i have realized that it only happens in tourney mode. can anyone help?

or you could use that mouse driver that sets a key combo, then bind it to the key combo in t2 :\

alt numpad4(button4 aka back on browser window) = <-(left) ,which is bound already as <-(left) to a voidsay command, which in turns takes over alt numpad4(button4) during tourney and does not let me throw away my blaster. :(

you have your mouse pluged into your ps2 port correct? if you want them to work without changeing anything in any software try your USB port..


I have a 5 button mouse.. and the only other way to get it to work is to use the software that come with it.

my 5 button mouse works, you just need to click the mouse thing in the controls options. the only prob for me is a bug ive had since i started using the mouse, about 1 out of every 5 times when i open t2, it has that button also set to my loadout, but not in controls. just in the game, so anytime i go into 3rd person (mouse4) it sets me to my assult offense loadout. the only way to fix it is to restart t2.

In clientprefs.cs look for the line $pref::Input::MouseEnable d = "0"; and change it to 1

Enable di input in the mouse thing. Thats how I got my thumb button to work.

what i was thinking :)

i never said my buttons don't work, i said they mess with other buttons already bound to other functions.

lemme simplify this a little better.
mouse4 = left thumb button on my mouse it is set to alt numpad4 which is the bind for going backwards thru folders/web browser. in game i have it set to throw blaster and it sets itself at this bind(alt numpad4) instad of mouse4.

the <- (LEFT) on the keyboard down by the numpad is bound to a voidsay voice command( i have the nme flag).

both these binds work properly in pubs. but when the server is switched to tourney mode all of a sudden, mouse4(alt numpad4) doesn't throw my blaster anymore, instead it takes the role of the <- and says the voidsay command instead of dropping my blaster.

the problem i believe is that alt numpad4 and the left button are the same and thats y it is replacing it in tourney mode, what is getting to me it that this ONLY ever happens in tourney mode and not in FFA.

Now can anyone possibly help ?

edit: the d input thing does nothing to change this i had already tried that.

DINPUT in T2 and set mouse buttons on default under control panel?

btw, yes the 4 is left arrow with numlock off...so... I wouldn't expect it to work like that

I've a weird bug with my mouse 4 & 5 button.
I've boud mouse 4 to "select spinfusor" and mouse 5 to "throw grenade".
After "alt-tabing" my mouse 4 select spinfusor and select my Inventory 4, my mouse 5 throw a grenade and select Inventory 5.
This is quite annoying.
Anyone got an idea ?
