im tryin to install red hat linux 8.0 onto my old p2 400mhz comp, and when i try to install it, it starts loading all the stuff, then when it says chekcing partitions and then on hdd it hangs with a message "hdd: lost interrupt" and i have tried to do the linux noprobe and the but it still gets stuck
p2 mmx 400mhz
64 ram (i think, might be 128)
some 8 gig hard drive (its a compaq so it came with all the stuff)
dvd drive
zip drive
floppy drive
and i had win xp installed if that makes a difference with ntfs partitioning (planned on reformating in a linux partiton)
thx
