Epox 8K7A Code 28

My computer has started to randomly freeze up. First it froze in windows, then after a reboot it did it again, and finally it just stopped right after detecting the hard drives. I cracked it open and the error code is a 28 (or 82, depending on which way is up) and I've been unable to find any reference to this in the manual.

Specs:
Athlon 1.33 (not o/c'd)
Epox 8K7A
GF4-4200
512mb DDR

Help please..

EDIT: It also sounds like it is making 7 fast beeps. Could be 5 or 6 though, but I'm pretty sure 7. Also, no video is being sent to the monitor either now. The video card BIOS for the GF4 screen shows up (nVidia GF4 64mb etc. etc. etc..) and then video is cut completely. The beeps come AFTER the video card puts up it's screen, right when the video dies.

What OS are you running?

Did you try there support page?

It's winxp, but the OS is irrelevant in this case...it's freezing up during bootup before it even gets to loading the OS.

I'm trying to get help, but nothing back from them yet.

Well the code 28 will come up if your using win 95...I didn't think you where but that's what there support page said.

Tried swapping video cards, looks like the vid card was the problem.

Thanks for the help though.

Odd...I thought a vid card problem was 3 beeps.
