Wait a year or 2 till t2 is really dead, remake t1, like, REALLY use t1, an exact copy, fix the graphics(sorta a new engine, but not really, same engine just updated) and release it. Would cost < 10k I would guess and you would profit off it like a mofo.

Call it tribes 3 of course.

Do graphics really matter all that much? I suppose they do to most... and if good graphics = 1000's of new people then that's cool. However, do they really matter that much to you personally?

I'd prefer them to fix the current T1 engine (optimize, improve MA code, get rid of ski/scout bug and various clipping errors... and implement cheat prevention mechanisms.) Then enlist the aid of the community to offer gameplay/balance advice.
