[Spoilers] Star Wars Episode VII

Just a few thoughts, it's 3 am here I need to sleep.

They remade Episode IV.

Typical Abrams movie, everyone is super drama.

Super weapon was stupid, we're harnessing star energy inside a planet? So the entire planet can go into hyperspace to use up the next star? Lasers that go into hyperspace? Abrams hates physics again, just like in Star Trek.

Han Solo dying was the most predictable thing I've ever seen in a movie.

Finn is probably a character that could not exist and no one would care.

With Han Solo dead, there is zero comedy in the movie outside of WALL-E.

The girl has promise, she carried the movie IMO.

Almost everyone in this movie acted like a complete bitch. The ginger general was terrible, the hitler moment was hilarious.

The action and special effects were awesome, A+++. It was a good entertaining movie, I doubt most die hard Star Wars fans will enjoy it.

Episode VIII will consist of Rhey(Luke in Ep V) training with Luke(Yoda Ep V) while the "resistance" builds up it's forces to take down giant scar face guy.

All in all, the movie got a B from me, entertaining, but disappointed they followed the same plot line almost to the T.

Felt more like an average summer sci-fi movie than Star Wars. New characters outside Kylo Ren felt underdeveloped and the character moments felt forced. They skipped over way to much plot such as:

-How Snoke comes to power, and how did he learn to use the dark side of the force
-How Luke's new jedi academy fell apart

Annoying plot points:

-So Kylo Ren trained under Luke and under Snoke, yet untrained Finn can wound him with a lightsaber? Also an untrained Rey beats him after what, 2 whole hours of using the force?

-Another superweapon with an incredibly glaring flaw. How does the guy that designs these things still get work?

-Minor but incredibly hilarious. Leia, having never met Rey...hugs her when the Falcon returns without Han, but ignores .

- Rey somehow being able to fly the Falcon crazy perfect despite having never flown it before.

- Kylo Ren being just as emo as Anakin was despite having no damn reason for it (at least Anakin grew up a slave and then saw his mother die in his arms, all while being manipulated by the most powerful Sith in history).

- The resistance not knowing about the superweapon beforehand but then magically knowing not only what they were aiming at but also exactly how long until it was ready to fire.

- The resistance in general. If the Empire collapsed and the New Republic had formed then what exactly was the resistance "resisting" this whole time? Either the First Order was the same magnitude of threat as the Empire in which case the Republic would be fighting them or else it's just an upstart movement and there shouldn't be any damn resistance yet.

- In order to infiltrate the FO superweapon which is also their main base the resistance decides to send a wookie, an old man, and a former stormtrooper. In comparison, to destroy the small shield generator in RotJ the resistance sends 1 jedi, 2 hotshot smugglers, Leia, the droids, and what looked to be a good dozen or so other fighters.

- After infiltrating FO headquarters the team then walks around pretty much uncontested without raising a single alarm even though the base is supposedly already on high alert because they're looking for an escaped prisoner who apparently might also be a jedi and possess valuable information about Luke Skywalker.

If you think there will be no comedy without Han, well...

Poe Dameron is obviously the new Han Solo, so there you go.

Fin/Po bromance
