hit a jackpot playing a slot machine at the casino so i purchased myself a 2wd traxxas slash. eventually i will upgrade the motor from the brushed 12t 550 to a brushless but this is a great starter truck. the thing is durable as hell. ive smashed it off jumps into walls and no breaks yet

my backyard is not landscaped and all ghetto so i built some berms and jumps for the fun... this is a step up and step down..

I have a Traxxas Revo first gen. Incredible truck but I wish I would have gone with an electric, the fiddling with the nitro got old and now the truck just sits in the attic.
 
I have the Slash 4x4 brushless, incredible little machines. Brushless + Lipo's are def the way to go.

i got a hardon for them when i was 15 but never could afford one. now i had some cash burning a hole in my pocket soi got one. Also for my kids to have some entertainment as well.

as for my backyard.... id rather not half ass it with a budget of 400 bucks instead i wait a little while and do it really nice when im ready. besides my dogs would jsut tear it up right now and i like letting the kids have all the fun in the backyard they want ./... for now... untill i make it nice

i want to step up to that VXL brushless traxxas has but its like 185 new. checking craigslist i see whole trucks with that motor for 200 so i will prolly go that route when ready.
 
dvader got an rc car for free a few years ago.
he got all the shit he needed to prime and start it and we ran it in the parking lot outside of his apartment.
i ran it off an embankment because 1. i didn't know the brakes were not properly adjusted 2. i did not apply them soon enough

he now owns a rc car with a broken front suspension

i have a first gen losi XXX truggy, havnt really gotten it seriously into the dirt yet, just in the backyard and stuff but it seems sturdy as hell
 
I want to get one of those, but there are no tracks around here, so I got a brushless e-revo to bash with. The thing hauls ass when I run 6s lipos in it. It will do standing backflips, and easily pulling 60+.

The thing keeps snapping in half though. It literally costs me $40 a drive due to busted stuff. Granted I take it off massive stuff without thinking where I'm going to land, but I never remember my previous 3 Nitro Revos breaking ever. I blame it on the plastic chassis of the erevo.

good to know. the slash chassis seems top be pretty tough. all tho some kid was in the hobby shop with one broke in two. he said he went real big on a jump and it busted :lol:

i too want that 60+ brushless motor even tho you have to gear it for street set up to see those speeds still would be sweet for throwing roost in the berms :p

ohh and i got lucky... on the way home with the purchase i was driving through a industrial park looking for a empty lot to let the kid play... i found a short course track for these things. apparently the owners of National Powersport Auctions is into these. So they built a track at their company. Well people started to make it better and keep it maintained so they put some money into it... purchased clay dirt so its real nice and recently they put in a stand with arm rest for you to stand on that is elevated so you can see the course better... its all diamond plated and shit... really nice and it has to be a pretty penny. anyhow its bitched i found it and right up the street from my house
 
bring it to the beach.

I want to run it into bitches on roller blades then be like "Oh I'm sorry baby, let me take you back to my place and rape you to make you forget about that broken ankle"
