[Portal 2]portal gun stuck on continuous fire

anyone having this? my blue portal is stuck firing non stop. reloading the game, changing the key binds, nothing has unstuck it.

This solved it for me.
I had a sidewinder joystick plugged in via usb. Unplugged and no longer an issue. Disconnect any other input devices also.

i found a bug that lets you zoom in as far as you want if you hold control and scroll your mouse wheel (on a mac, dunno if it's for pc too)
