why wasn't their first album way more popular

i was totally surprised when i saw it was released in 1992

totally ahead of its time & pretty much every track is great

i don't remember really hearing a rage against the machine song until bulls on parade

what's up with that

was it really that popular

i was 6 (heh heh) when it came out but i have a pretty swell recollection of popular music at the time

i mean i guess a whole bunch of really good rock was out @ the time

but honestly

their best album

didn't even make top 20 on the bill board charts etc etc

Dude it was huge at the time; it's still a fantastic album. You were just a baby so it wouldn't have had much play on any radio station you listened to.

I was busy working....Living with Katie & kids.

You punks were prob. high schooling.
:fu:

Don't play like you were every anything but a degenerate child-toucher. You were probably lurking behind a jungle-gym or something when this album came out.

On topic, definitely an under-rated album. I liked Killing in the Name of, and Bombtrack was another good one. I think it might of been on the soundtrack for one of the Matrix movies.

my favorite album of theirs is evil empire. I got it on accident and didn't really know who they were at the time, but i loved the shit out of it
