[Tech Support] Cannot change Internet Connection Type in WRT54G router

firmware updated. Restored to factory settings. I have tried using IE (no script blocking) and Firefox. Same result.
 
Who the fuck uses PPPOE anymore?

Is the selection grayed out?

If its a pain just toss on dd-wrt. I run that exact same router with it. Much easier to use.
 
Does it let you put in the username and password? Are you entering the right username and password?
 
Are you hitting "Apply" or "Save" at the bottom of the page after you change it?

It should pop up another screen telling you to wait for 5 seconds or whatever and then it should take.

You cannot enter user/pass for the Automatic-DHCP setting. It asks for other info.

I do not have an opportunity to hit save; it will not change from Automatic - DHCP to anything.
