Anyone here use GIMP for photo editing?

I'm about to get a new photo editing app and I'm looking at GIMP...mostly because it's free.

Before I came across GIMP I was looking at PaintShop Photo Pro X3 and Adobe Elements (both run about an average of $100).


Anyways, is the GUI for GIMP equal, better or just plain worse than the other two?

I would prefer to be cheap...but not at the expense of ease of use and quality work.

Who GIMPs out there in TWville?

Pretty much everyone at my school uses GIMP, but it could be because it's on the computers in every class. Ive only used it a few times myself but I managed to do everything I wanted to and I'm no artist or experienced photoshopper.

I use GIMP all the time. Once you get used to it you can do whatever you want just as easily as PS.
