When in reality, their crappy team's owners are just lining their own pockets (with revenue sharing dollars to boot):

Pittsburgh Pirates win by losing, financial documents show - ESPN

MLB Confidential: The Financial Documents Baseball Doesn't Want You To See, Part 1

don't complain about how much money the Yankees or Red Sox spend. complain that your owners aren't spending their money on their team (your team)...

also, if it comes down to it and there IS a salary cap instituted, expect revenue sharing to disappear, and your team to disappear from your city as the owners no longer see the team as personally profitable...

maybe if the fuckings tits just got sucked on when they were a child, we wouldnt have a god damn retarded baseball playing cockbag here.

You're a tard. Why would a team like the Pirates spend that extra $30 million when they would still be in the lower third of payrolls. Sounds like a smart business decision to me.

Baseball is fucked beyond fixing with all the trades. Why follow the shit when your favorite player will be gone? It doesn't mean anything these days who wins the final, because the Yankees and Redsox have it rigged.

this is true... Theo Epstein and Brian Cashman are both Jews...:tinfoil:

AFAIK any salary cap proposal also included a salary floor.. and revenue sharing won't go away.. just like it didn't go away in the NFL. And really bitching about 15 million a year profit being made? You do realize that pays for 1 #1 starter at bottom of the barrel prices.. or realistically a #2 starter. Or a corner infielder who hits for power... 15 million profit actually shows that a salary cap is needed, because there's no fucking way the pirates could competitively pay for personnel compared to other teams. Shit, whats Jason Bay's salary this year? 8.6 million this year and 16 million for the following 3 seasons.. yeah the pirates sure could have resigned him and afforded it.

yeah I really don't understand what this is about. The Pirates--a major league baseball team--make money, holy fucking shit whoda thunk it. And contrary to what the OP said about the owner, ESPN said he doesn't even take a salary (I'm not reading through 25 pages of financial shit). All it is is media hoopla about documents that were leaked that should have not been.

baseball haters tend to be those guys in gym class who stepped with the wrong foot when they threw a ball

Its teams like this that will fuck a good thing like this, that money is given to them to make there teams better not there wallets. Teams like KC,Pitt,Baltimore or any other cellar dwellers should be using that cash to upgrade or make new addition to the stadiums or rosters.

Yeah, you don't get it. Teams like KC, Pitt, Baltimore are merely farm teams. They draft prospects, get a few years out of them, then when they hit the market there is no reasonable way to keep them. The three teams you mentioned have also all upgraded their stadiums.

You should just stop talking since you just lumped Baltimore in with teams like KC and PITT on spending.. shit even KC isn't that bad.. their Payroll is at 71 million which is 20/30. Baltimore is at 17/30 with 81 million in payroll. In 2007 the Orioles had a opening day payroll of 93 million. KC just did a massive stadium renovation, good enough to get the All Star game in 2012.

yet they have only won 3? of the last 10 championships, or 4 who won in 2000.

Baseball has quite a bit of diversity in who wins, a smart management team can win you a pennant.

Compared to the NBA where being in a warm state or getting a lucky ping ping ball bounce is what determines it.
