need advice dealing with alcoholic?

we took him to AA (me+a friend of ours whos sober 4yrs)

just sits there listening quietly

goes home right after, drinks vodka

what the fuck tw, im really worried. how to help him?
 
let the man live his own life

he'll come to his senses when he hits rock bottom

or he'll just die in a gutter somewhere
 
what's he doing that's affecting his life by being an alcoholic? is he not functioning

and the answer is only the retard can fix themself here
 
it sucks but there comes a point when you've done everything you possibly can to help someone, and all that is left is for them to get a fucking grip

not sure if you've reached that stage with your friend yet but if he's truly messed up then you probably will. you and your other friends can be there for him when he needs you, give him good advice, positive encouragement, and basically do everything you can to help him turn things around

But at the end of the day he is the only one who can change his situation and if he is too weak to do so then after a while you'll probably get fed up and stop caring

Yeah, until he hits rock bottom he'll think he will never be as pathetic as the people he heard talking at AA. So for now he knows he might maybe have a little bit of a problem, but it's not as bad as them.

But basically, there will be a time when you and others have to stop "helping" and let him reap all the consequences of his fuckuppery before he'll turn it around. And even then, it's no guarantee.
 
just inject him with a small amount of vodka so he gets severe alcohol poisoning and his body rejects all alcohol forever
