I think it's to cut down on his lap time in the pool. Bret's not a young fella anymore, so he's got to look for advantages wherever he can. Particularly in the 200m Freestyle, where no member of Poison has ever metaled.

There's been speculation of his baldness for yeeears. I think most people lean towards him having a weave. Others say he's just trying to maintain the "rocker" look.
