Millions of dollars spent to do this, and torrents are just as easy to find as they ever were.

It's a bit like the war on drugs.
 
Speaking of which, why is ThePirateBay still up and fully functional? I thought they lost their law suit too?
 
ya im wondering the same too... did they just rehost the sites so itd take the cops another 3-4 years to pin them? :D

i'm a big fan of this and scnsrc for public torrents and IP for "private" torrents.

props to whoever compared this witch hunt to that of the drug war.

edit - i remember back in late 99-00 when the napster shit fired up and i just laughed at it all. i was happy to see napster take the brunt while newsgroups and other filesharing communities continued (and still do) to stay largely anonymous and unknown to the "average" user.
