Fuck you Sennheiser

There are no non-proprietary cables that connect directly into the earpieces. Actually I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Where? I looked on Monoprice and couldn't find anything similar, i even used their online chat bullshit to ask an actual employee

edit: I did find one on Ebay for 25 bucks but the plastic surrounding the metal prongs looks different and it's still 25 goddamn dollars for 10 feet of copper wire

what model? I have an older set (I think 565s) and I've replaced the cable with a cable from a random pair of Sonys I had lying around. I'm sure some of the models where the cable only plugs into 1 headphone are more difficult to find, but this cable:

can be had from many sources.

I can't tell if that's different - but it doesn't look the same there.

Guess they did switch to proprietary plugs - that sucks.

1. Get a soldering iron, some solder, and some heat shrink tubing.
2. buy a 10 foot audio extension cable at monoprice
3. Cut your original cable and the audio extension cable, then splice them together.
4. ...
5. Profit!
