Looking for a good set of pots/pans for a christmas gift. They are seriously cooking freaks so they probably know whats 'good' for a cooking set. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yeah, if i can keep this around 350..400 that would be great. I dont expect a massive set, but something decent to cover the basics

Honestly for 400 bucks you are going to get a shit set. Give them a gift cert to a place that sells the good stuff to get them started.

edit - hrm actually it looks like Ramsay's Royal Doulton set retails around 469. That's not bad at all.

Usually celebrity chef cook sets are worth the money and are affordable because they're targetted at your demographic. Martha Stewart, Emeril, Batali. Do some research.
