VLC player

For some reason 720p content in VLC isn't as sharp as it is in MPC. The only reason why I don't use it all the time.

Plus GOM streams from websites much much better. However, neither of them contain functionality that WMP has had for years:

1.) The ability to save passwords
2.) The ability to stream https://

I'm having this issue too. It can play mkv files better than any media player I've tried but lately, the high def mkv's actually studder and freeze .. so I downloaded another player that plays them a little smoother. Can't remember the name right now. I also believe the limitations of my computer (Which isn't bad at all) may be rearing it's ugly head.
