So my grandfather on my mothers side has been fighting a losing battle with congestive heart failure. He had a defibrillator put into his chest so he could be revived if his heart stops.

He recently got that taken out, b/c he was tired of feeling sick. He has given up.

I just got off the phone with him saying that he "expects this to not last much longer, hopes it doesnt last longer"

I can't call you a n*gger because kids searching for info about congestive heart failure might stumble upon it so I'll just offer condolences.

make the best of the time he has left!
 
make a video of his life. im serious. if he can still get outta the house, take him out, have a fun time, come home with a nice meal. break open a case of good beer and/or his favorite spirit, setup camera, and let him tell his life story.

was he feeling sick from CHF or other problems as well?

defib/pacemaker should have helped out with that if it was set properly

it was done properly, but he had recently fallen and hurt himself so that brought him back down a few notches.
