overall a great movie, dragged a bit but i enjoyed most of the dialogue.

like everyone else i thought jew hunter was a fantastic character played brilliantly. but i just don't get why he would turn to the jews in the end. i mean all along they show him as extremely smart and cunning, he would've had to know that the jews wouldn't grant him permanent freedom. it just didn't seem plausible that he would put himself in a situation at the end where he could easily be killed or permanently scarred with the swastika. or am i just missing something all along? just didn't seem right that he's this incredible character and in the end is outwitted by aldo, who seems really dumb

i really liked the scene at the bar where they all shot each other

also i was expecting a lot more jews killing nazis, but there wasn't too much of that imo. bear jew was great

although i agree with you about the jew hunter dude - it was pretty inconsistent with what i would've come to expect from his intelligence - i suppose it makes SOME kind of sense. he was a detective first, then a nazi. he was following the money. guess he wanted to get to america like the rest of em, and get set up nicely to boot. greed fucked him over, made him weak. it wasnt the strongest choice tarantino made, but its okay.

but more importantly, spoiler this thread you fucking asshole.

I agree. I got the impression towards the end that he was only in it for money/power. He saw an opportunity at the end to capitalize on it by "single handidly ending the war" and it backfired.

Well ...   the Jew Hunter was very arrogant and convinced of his intellectual superiority. Therefore I think it reasonable to assume that he would feel that he could manipulate the situation and the final outcome of the war to his advantage. That makes it all the more delicious when an ignorant hillbilly American (Pitt) gives him his comeuppance.

It's not really that complicated. He was pretty smart, and I'm sure he knew that the Americans would win the war eventually anyway. He got dealt a nice hand of cards and decided to play it.

Also, the movie has been out for ages, screw spoilers. Why have an ENTIRE thread with spoiler tags? Just put [SPOILERS] in the title or something.
