Looking for a script to log IPs.

So this douche bag was my roommate and left owing a lot of money in utilities and rent. He also stole a hard drive and case on his way out. The only way i have to find him would be to get his IP and go to the police. I have an email address i'm fairly sure he still uses and i feel like i could bait him into going to a site that would log his IP. My problem is that i know jack shit about this. Does anyone know if a script i could upload to a geocities page or some shit to do this, or have a similar method?

I just want to be the voice of reason here and ask "What are the police are going to do with an IP address?". Are you taking him to court? You'd have to subpoena his ISP to get personal information from an IP address. You might want to look for a different path.

Any reasonable (non-free) webhost has access logs.
