Anyone else here have issues with their ISP blocking xbox live??

i live in a apt complex that provides free high speed net which is pretty decent speed. I bought a xbox so i could play xbox live with UFC undisputed but it does not let me connect. My ps3 works fine tho.. so has anyone else had this issue and besides getting a new ISP did u do anything to resolve it?

I dont think its your ISP blocking you buddy.

i really doubt it if your isp is stupid enough to block xbox live.

its more likely to do with the buildings internal network.

call your isp and threaten to move to a different provider. they will unblock live for you rather than lose a customer.

Obvious question: Do you go through a router to connect to the internet?

if it's a wireless connection as i assume it is you need some ports opened or possibly NAT rules set up on the gateway (aka port forwarding)

Which ports are required to be open for Xbox LIVE on your router or firewall

call your goddamn ISP
