Cheap DL = expensive coasters. In fact the majority of DL discs out there cheap or not are expensive coasters. Very few burn to specification.
 
Everything I have read says that the verbatims are the only ones to get. All the others burn coasters frequently. (of course the two I had tried with cheaper media have worked fine....)
 
I have used memorex DL just to try them out, and at 12x or 8x they are good, once you hit the higher burn speeds, your odds of ending up with coasters goes up quite a bit. I used them to burn all of MST3k, and they worked great
