To Buy a Laptop Sleeve or not to...

Just bought a new 15 incher. Sleeves always seemed pointless to me. Being that their only seeming purposes is to keep the outside looking new, and not actually protect it, is it worth all the money?

Recommendations?

Should've bought something that isn't glossy as shit all over, then you wouldn't need a condom for your laptop.

It's actually made of aluminum. It's also brushed, so it's not "glossy."

I'm assuming you're going to be taking this places with you. (If you were just going to use it at home you wouldn't need the sleeve)

Just get a bag with a laptop sleeve built in.

I have a bag that has an area for a computer but it doesn't really function as a sleeve.

My Northface has a padded laptop sleeve thing inside of it, I just keep my laptop in there.
