I've used this recipe and it worked great:

Do not try to make these with plain pancake mix. It just soaks up the grease and doesn't get crispy and frittery.

I do on the occasional Saturday morning.
 
Looks more like tunnel cake. Like someone poured cement down an anthill and washed the dirt away.
 
I am severely disappointed. Just last week while doing some construction work for the wife's new business, I got bored and made a "funnel cake" out of spray foam insulation. I figured somebody on the internet would have done the same in the past, but a google image search tells me that nobody else has ever made foam insulation funnel cake before.
 
funnel cake is one of the best things ever made

if it had bacon on it, i'd start a religion.
